As a South Florida wedding photographer I get to photograph at some of the most beautiful wedding venues all across the state. In case you didn’t know, South Florida is a wedding capitial of the country. There are so many reasons why a recently engaged couple would want to have their wedding here in South Florida especially Palm Beach. In this case Lauren and Brett decided to get married in Palm Beach after seeing the Eau Palm Beach hotel. One major reason South Florida is so popular is the beautiful beaches that are in scattered across South Florida, Up and down the coast are beach communities such as South Beach, Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Delray Beach, and of course Palm Beach. Palm Beach is the most elegant of all the beaches in Florida. If you are familiar with Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, Worth Ave in Palm Beach is similar but in Florida. In Palm Beach newly engaged couples have the choice of several very upscale luxury wedding venues. Some of these include, The Breakers, The Four Seasons and the Eau Palm Beach.
Capturing the Magic of a Bride Getting Ready
Palm Beach Elegance at the Eau Hotel
One of the most enchanting moments of any wedding day is the bride’s preparation, and there’s no better place to capture these intimate moments than at the stunning Eau Hotel in Palm Beach. The rooms here are a photographer’s dream—each beautifully styled and many offering breathtaking ocean views. The serene atmosphere and lavish décor provide the perfect backdrop for capturing the bride’s transformation.
The Art of “Getting Ready” Photography
The “getting ready” photos are one of my favorite parts of wedding photography. There’s a unique blend of anticipation, excitement, and raw emotion that fills the room. These moments offer a glimpse into the bride’s world before she makes her grand entrance.
What sets the getting ready photos apart is their artistic, journalistic style. I strive to capture authentic moments, experimenting with angles and compositions to create images that tell a story. Check out the photo above in which Lauren holding up a mirror, where you can see the faces of her bridesmaids reflected. It’s these creative touches that make each wedding album truly unique.
Engaging Your Imagination
I invite you to join me on this visual journey. How do you feel about the artistic touches added to these photos? Do you have a favorite “getting ready” shot from your own wedding or one you’ve attended? Share your thoughts and let’s engage in a lively discussion about the magic of wedding photography.
The beauty of wedding photography, especially those intimate getting ready moments, lies in its ability to freeze time and capture emotions that words often fail to convey. Whether it’s the bride’s serene expression while her makeup is being done or the joyful tears of a mother helping her daughter into her dress, these photos become cherished memories that last a lifetime.
Lauren and Brett’s beautiful wedding at the Eau, Palm Beach was a pleasure to shoot. This couple choose this venue, because they love the beach! The magnificent décor for Lauren and Brett’s wedding was created by Daniel Events. The bride and groom wanted décor that was classy & traditional yet incuded the current trends such as LED lighting, crystals, white dance floor and couch seating. Daniel Events hit the target by creating the couples vision of a “WOW” and also creating a ballroom that was both magical and warm as well as ultra classy. Since This was a traditional Jewish wedding, the beautiful chuppah really set the stage and made for a awesome looking wedding ceremony
Working as a photographer in South Florida I get to photograph many different type of weddings. Some of the weddings I photograph are as large as 250 guest and other are as small as 40 guests. I also photograph some elopements. Given that South Florida is such a great vacation spot often couples decide that they want to have a small wedding just for two in the beach. If this is the case a short 2 hour wedding package works well.
In the case of elopements I will usually start with some getting ready bride photos. Then walk with the groom and the reverend or rabbi to the beach ceremony location. Often the hotel wedding coordinator with walk the bride to the beach for the start of the ceremony. After the beach wedding ceremony I’ll spend another hour taking some creative portraits giving the bride and groom some beautiful wedding memories.
Larger wedding require more time and planning. For these weddings, I’ll usually start 3-4 hours before the ceremony with getting ready photos, then orchestrate the first look between the bride and groom. After the first look, we often spend another hour or so creating beautiful bride and groom photos before moving on to the family photo session.
If you are searching for the Best South Florida Wedding Photographer for your needs then I believe you should spend some time calling and speaking with several different photographers. It’s also important view some complete weddings. Viewing a complete wedding from an elopement or a 200 person wedding will give you the best feel for a photographers work. By complete weddings I mean all the pictures taken at a single wedding. This will give you an idea of all the different types of photos that a photographer can take during the wedding ceremony as well as during the reception and getting ready session.
