One of the unique challenges was figuring out how the bride and groom could convey their wedding vows to each other without floating to the surface. Our solution? Ankle weights. These ensured that the couple stayed anchored at the bottom of the pool, allowing them to share their vows without any interruptions.
Ditching the Scuba Gear
The bride wanted to show off her mermaid outfit, and the groom had his underwater attire planned out. Traditional scuba gear would have hidden their outfits, so we came up with an innovative solution. We used long hoses with regulators attached to the end, allowing the couple to breathe comfortably while showing off their unique wedding outfits.

To ensure the vows were visible since the couldn’t be audible, the bride and groom took synchronized breathing pauses. This allowed the bubbles to rise out of their faces and eyes, ensuring I could capture perfect shots and the guests watching from the bar could see the vows being exchanged visually. On the day of the wedding, everything came together beautifully. The underwater setting provided a magical backdrop, and the unique preparations paid off.
