I'm sure by taking one quick look you could guess, it's either Fort Lauderdale, Coconut Grove, South Beach, Key Biscayne or Bal harbour. Did you cheat by clicking each link. If you did then you know it's a Ritz-Carlton. Ok enough suspense, it was taken at the Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne. The Ritz on Key Biscayne is one of the most beautiful hotels in South Florida. However, as a South Florida wedding photographer I'm thrilled to work at any Ritz-Carlton. There is no question that it's a hotel brand that screams elegance. Each hotel is unique and each has it's own unique type of beautiful. Even though each hotel is unique there is also a common elegance that is incorporated into each hotel. All the Ritz-Carltons feature high end visual appeal and finishes. Walking into a Ritz it's easy to sense that you are in a very high quality wedding venue.
When I first moved to South Florida the very first weddings I photographed were at The Ritz-Carltons. First it was the Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach which is no longer a Ritz. Now it's the Eau Palm Beach. (It still feels like a Ritz-Carlton). The Eau, Palm Beach is a beautiful wedding venue even though it's not a Ritz. Then I shot many weddings at the Key Biscayne Ritz. Here are some links to my past Ritz-Carlton, weddings. This photo was taken on the second floor at the Key Biscayne Ritz. I love this wedding picture which I shot at the Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale. The Ritz in South Beach was seriously damaged during the last hurricane. It was closed for a full year, however it recently reopened and I was there to check out this extraordinary renovated venue. It was beautiful before, now it's amazing! Check out this photo from an Indian wedding at the Ritz South Beach! Working as a wedding photographer in South Florida I get to cover many Indian weddings. I just love them because they are colorful, and feature lots of traditional events that are so much fun to photograph. I don't want to forget about the Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale! This link will take you to a blog post from a Fort Lauderdale Ritz wedding. There are many photos included in this post which will give you lot's to look at.
Being creative is one of the most important values a wedding photographer can have. Of course being creative doesn't mean much if a wedding photographer doesn't have great technical skills. First a wedding photographer needs to visualize the shot, then the photographer needs to be creative when creating the image and without the skills to make the photo useable the photo will never exist. Whenever, I photograph a wedding I always make sure I arrive early and leave plenty of time to be creative. When I arrived at this wedding I started photographing the getting ready pictures. Getting ready photography includes shooting the brides bridal gown, her shoes, her wedding rings and in this case, her earrings. Getting the champagne bottle to sit just right took some time, getting the foil to bend in a way that would show off the earrings took time, like I said, you need to leave plenty of time and have plenty of patients.
If you are engaged or planning a wedding here in Southern Florida I would love to talk with you about being your photographer. Before I lived in Florida I lived in Los Angeles, and before Los Angeles I went to college in New York. I finished with a BA degree in Communications and photography. After college, I moved to Los Angeles where I was formally trained in wedding photography. I have years of hard core photography experience and I hope that looking at my website it shows. I'm not a wedding planner, however ofter photographing over 1000 weddings I know something about not only wedding photography but also about wedding planning. In addition I have photographed weddings all over South Florida. If you are interested in having a wedding in The Florida Keys, Miami, South Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, Boca Raton or Palm Beach county I can help you. Even though I'm not a planner, I have worked with the best wedding planners in South Florida. If you are planning a small 50 person wedding or if your wedding is 500 guests I can direct you to the perfect wedding planner for you. By the way, I also shoot those small weekday elopements as well. My phone number is (561) 737-5561. Give me a call, I would love to talk!
